Global hotel management company Absolute Hotel Services (AHS) has confirmed the appointment of Darika Chaloeithoi as vice president of people and culture.

In this role, she will concentrate on advancing the company’s organisational culture and implement initiatives centred around people across regional, corporate and property levels.

Chaloeithoi has more than two decades of leadership experience in human resources, especially within the hospitality sector, said AHS.

She will head the creation and execution of AHS’s strategy for human resources, including aspects such as hiring, training, retention and staff engagement.

Her responsibilities also include guiding the progression of the company’s culture.

Chaloeithoi previously held senior positions at Asset World, The Erawan Group, InterContinental Hotels Group, and Thai Smile Airways.

As human resources business partner head at Asset World, she managed HR operations for 23 hotels and 12 restaurants under internationally renowned brands.

Absolute Hotel Services CEO Jonathan Wigley said: “Darika joins us at a pivotal time as we continue to grow and evolve as an organisation. Her proven track record in building strong cultures and developing high-performing teams will be a tremendous asset to Absolute Hotel Services.

“I’m confident her leadership will inspire innovation and elevate our people strategy across all levels of the company.”

Earlier this year, AHS chose Oracle’s OPERA Cloud and Simphony Cloud point-of-sale systems for its worldwide AHS-branded locations.

In April 2024, AHS partnered with UAE-based Dex Squared Hotel Management to establish a joint venture aimed at managing hotels across the Middle East and Africa.

“AHS appoints Darika Chaloeithoi as VP people and culture” was originally created and published by Hotel Management Network, a GlobalData owned brand.
