During questioning by a detective, she said the child was sitting in a “boppy” and fell backward. Court documents show she told the detective she did not report the incident because she was “scared.” “The charge really stems from the daycare employee failing to notify her employer, failing to notify the mother, or any proper medical personnel that the injury had occurred. The skull fracture, if left untreated could have been a lot worse,” said Sgt. Heintz.Kober released a statement to KCCI through her attorney. Kober said she hopes the investigation will reveal that over her years of caring for children, their safety and well-being have been her number one priority. She also hopes additional investigation will clear up some misunderstandings about this matter.
